“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

BBC One - Panorama: Can You Stop My MS?
It's really hard to know how to respond to this programme - in a very real sense the stories seem so incredibly hopeful and positive, surely a cure can't be too far away now?
Apparently only watchers in the UK can see this program (which may be a tiny relief, as I was not feeling much like CRYING).
ReplyDeletehey - it IS (seemingly) incredibly positive news about the potentials of Stem Cell transplantation, and the individual recoveries are nothing short of remarkable.
ReplyDeleteit undoubtedly has a particular resonance for us and our loved ones!
and, if you're interested, THERE'S ALWAYS A WAY to see things from outside the UK. just sayin'

yeah, I figured you'd call me on the "I CAN'T WATCH IT" excuse. Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteShift.ms have done a video on stem cell treatment on their website, it explains it all very clearly. The upshot seems to be, this could be very exciting, but the timescales for it to become available for everyone are unclear at the moment - like so much. Cause for feeling postive, with caveats...
